SOME COMMON QUESTIONS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS ABOUT OUR CONTAINER RENTALS


Cherokee Rental, Inc. has been providing shipping and storage container rentals to Monahans , Pecos , Midland , Odessa , Big Spring, TX and the surrounding communities since 1995. Here we answer some of the most common questions we receive about our container rentals. If you don’t see your question here, please feel free to give us a call any time.

Q: How much space is required for delivery?

A: For a 20' container, you will need approximately 65 feet of straight clearance. For a 40' container, you will need approximately 125 feet of straight clearance. The width requirement is approximately 10 feet.

Q: How is the container delivered?

A: We deliver using a tilt-bed truck and/or a tilt-bed trailer. With the trailer raised, the container slides off the trailer resting on one end. Then, the truck/trailer will need to pull straight out from under the container.

Q: What preparation do I need to do before the container arrives?

A: All you will need to do is make sure you have a surface that is fairly smooth, level and firm for the container to sit on. We will put it on cement, pavement, asphalt, gravel, grass and dirt as long as it is not too soft.

Q: What size containers do you offer?

A: We carry two different size containers. We offer 20 foot and 40 foot containers with several options for each size.

Q: How long will it take to get my container once I order it?

A: Once ordered, we generally will have the container to you as quick as two days from order, but some units can be placed same day. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule and needs.

Q: Are the containers weatherproof?

A: All containers are completely enclosed and will keep wind, rain, and snow out so that your items stay dry and secure.

Q: Can you move the container once it is loaded?

A: We cannot move loaded containers. We can bring the container to you or you can rent a container and leave it at one of our locations.

Q: What if my container needs repair?

A: If you are renting the container we will provided maintenance during the length of your rental period. Just give us a call and we will come out.

Q: What can storage container rentals be used for?

A: Storage container rentals are great for storing extra belongings whether you are renovating a home or office, building a new home or office, storing extra supplies or equipment, or storing building materials.

Q: What can Conex containers be used for?

A: Conex containers are versatile and can be used for long and short-term needs including home renovation projects, garage sales, charity drives, and a number of different projects.

Q: Can I use a storage container rental for my oilfield?

A: Storage containers have become very common for use on oilfields in the Monahans, Pecos, Midland, Odessa, and Big Spring, TX areas. These containers can be used to keep equipment safely stored. They can also be used to provide a temporary office, lounge, or meeting place for workers to use, away from the elements.
